TWO Year 9 students at an exclusive Brisbane boys school have been charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl at a party.
The 14-year-old male students yesterday appeared in Brisbane Children's Court charged over the alleged attack in an upmarket suburb in the city's north in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A third juvenile was also charged late yesterday over the incident.
A police spokesman last night confirmed the charges. "Three juvenile males will be dealt with under the Juvenile Justice Act," he said.
Police said a "cross-region investigation" was under way involving officers from the state's Child Protection Investigation Unit.
The Ten Network reported the party was hosted by one of the boys on Saturday night.
The report said the group had been drinking and taking drugs at the party, and the girl might have passed out.
It is alleged she woke several hours later believing she had been raped, and reported the incident at the Dutton Park Police Station on Monday.
The girl made the complaint with her parents.
It is understood the boys attend one of Brisbane's biggest private schools.
The alleged victim is believed to attend a private girls school in the city.
The boys' school could not be contacted for comment last night.
Both boys who appeared in court yesterday were released on bail, and the case will be mentioned again in Brisbane Children's Court next month.
